ITEM: the construction and shape of this Raku vase reminds me of a flowering bulb, or the flower itself ready to open. Layers of clay create this shape with an organic triangular shape opening. The Raku firing process involves placing the red hot ceramic piece into a natural, combustible material which creates additional reactions to the glaze and untreated surface areas. Signed "CS" on the bottom.
SIZE: 5" tall, roughly 5.5" x 5.5" wide. Opening is 2.5" x 2".
